Real estate February Stats for Forest Meadows in CO Springs are interesting this month. While home sales were down slightly in February compared to last year, prices are still going up. The median price was up 9.7% at $368,700 and the average price was up 8.3% at $365,740. Even better still, homes are selling really fast in our neighborhood with an average of 2 days on the market. EPA bans the production of freon

Out with the old and in with the new! Did you know that freon, also known as HCFC-22 and R-22, will no longer be manufactured as of January this year? EPA studies have shown that the chemicals in freon are harmful to the environment and have banned all production of freon starting last month.  What does this mean for homeowners? This may mean that older heating/cooling systems will, in most cases, need to be upgraded in the near future to a system that takes R410A, or Puron. Residents (and non residents) of Forest Meadows and The Trails who use the intersection of Black Forest Rd and Cowpoke Dr should be in for some relief soon. Two support posts have already been installed as part of a temporary traffic signal at the intersection. The signal should complete by the end of December, 2019.
